Goodbye Bob

bobedwardsFor those of you who listen to NPR, you will know that last Friday morning news anchor Bob Edwards signed off for the final time. He began at NPR in 1979, and over the years he became “the voice” for Morning Edition. But the powers that be thought a change was in order, that a younger demographic could be reached if they changed anchors. So, despite thousands of letters of protest, Edwards is out. Read an interview transcript from Bob Edwards interview with Bill Moyers this week on NOW. It was a scheduled interview that Edwards had to discuss his new book about Edward R. Murrow. Despite the timing, the two kept the interview. The two renowned journalists discuss the state of modern journalism, and they are right on. We’ll miss you Bob.
